Bedford Township is a civil township in Monroe County. It is a suburb of Toledo, which contains just over 31,000 people, making it the largest suburb of Toledo. It is located in the southeast corner of Michigan. It is made up of the unincorporated communities of Temperance, Lambertville, and Samaria. The entire southern border of Bedford is shared with Toledo, but the township is also culturally connected to Detroit and Monroe Michigan. The township covers 39.3 square miles and has a history that is important to all of Michigan and is very rich. Bedford Public Schools is the soul provider of public education in Bedford Township.
